Tashkent Metro announced the date of the opening of the second entrance and vestibule of the “Hamid Olimjon” metro station.

According to the information, all work on installing and adjusting the new escalators has been completed. Currently, the equipment is undergoing laboratory technical testing at a contracting organization. After this, the escalators will operate in test mode for 48 hours without passengers.

Upon completion of the tests and obtaining permission from the Committee on Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, the escalators will be put into operation.

It is planned that from January 19 of this year, the second entrance and vestibule of the station will be fully open for passengers. The new escalators meet modern standards and are equipped with energy-saving sensor systems.

Earlier, it was reported that the Tashkent metro would become longer. The authorities plan to focus on public transport to combat traffic jams.
