The Committee for Competition identified violations in the liquefied gas market and took measures to stabilize prices, the press service of the department reports.

In November-December 2025, the Committee sent preventative warnings to market participants regarding the inadmissibility of unjustified price increases for liquefied gas amid temporary restrictions on methane supplies. Despite this, signs of manipulation and coordinated actions have been identified in the actions of individual business entities.

According to the Committee, the procedure for initiating cases based on the established facts of violation of legislation has begun. It is also reported that “corrective” measures have been taken at the exchange trading to stabilize prices. In particular, instructions were given to market participants to put products on the exchange in full and on a regular basis.

As a reminder, propane prices have risen in Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Energy and the Committee for the Development of Competition explained the situation in the domestic market.
