The authorities will plant flowers worth ten billion soums in Tashkent

The funds will be allocated from the State Budget revenue plan for the first quarter of 2025.

The Tashkent city administration will allocate 10 billion soums for the purchase and planting of flower seedlings for city squares and streets, according to a resolution of the People’s Deputies Council of the capital.

According to the information, the money is planned to be allocated for the costs of planting seasonal flower seedlings for organizations under the jurisdiction of the City Improvement Department and district improvement departments. It is noted that the authorities will allocate this amount from the over-fulfilled portion of the state budget revenue plan for the first quarter of 2025, which was transferred to the local budget.

The authorities plan to allocate 1.82 billion soums to various landscaping departments and another 8.18 billion soums to the districts of the capital. Also, 815 million soums will be allocated to the Department for the Improvement of Central Squares, 748 million soums to the Department for the Improvement of Special Streets, 190 million soums to the Department for Servicing Government Facilities, and 67 million soums to the Department for Servicing the Population.

In terms of districts, the funds will be distributed as follows:

  • Bektemir district — 565 million soums;
  • Mirabad district — 480 million soums;
  • Mirzo-Ulugbek district — 1 billion 240 million soums;
  • Sergeli district — 295 million soums;
  • Almazar district — 1 billion soums;
  • Shaykhantakhur district — 980 million soums;
  • Yashnabad district — 775 million soums;
  • Chilanzar district — 1 billion 70 million soums;
  • Uchtepa district — 278 million soums;
  • Yunusabad district — 1 billion 150 million soums;
  • Yakkasaray district — 267 million soums;
  • Yangikhayot district — 80 million soums.

Earlier, it was reported that trees within the framework of “Yashil Makon” would be planted only on irrigated land. This season, the authorities plan to plant 125 million trees and shrubs, and another 75 million in spring.
