The arrival terminal of the Tashkent airport received an overpass and a large parking lot
The process will be divided into two stages.

A double overpass and parking for 330 seats will be launched at Tashkent International Airport by the end of October, according to the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.
These innovations are being implemented by specialists as part of the reconstruction of the arrival zone and adjacent territory. In addition to expanding the arrival hall by advancing the building’s facade, it is also planned to build an additional overpass. In this regard, the existing one will be allocated exclusively for tourist buses and airport official taxis.
At the same time, access to it will be possible through participation in the auction. Thus, licensed operators who won the auction will be required to provide taxi services to passengers in various price categories — from budget to comfort and business class.
The second overpass is planned to be used for greeters’ cars, as well as taxi aggregators. To avoid traffic jams, you can stop on the lane for no more than 10 minutes. This will be monitored by video surveillance cameras located on the territory, integrated with the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
The current situation in the arrival zone is unsatisfactory: spontaneous parking, illegal carriers, and constant traffic jams create serious inconveniences for passengers and greeters. We recognize this and, for our part, take all possible measures. The reconstruction is aimed at establishing order, clearly delineating traffic flows, and forming civilized service conditions. We are confident that the measures being implemented will make the stay at the airport comfortable and safe for both residents of the capital and foreign guests,” the company noted.
The company also noted that due to ongoing work on the airport grounds, specialists have divided this process into two stages. Thus, the first is planned to commission a double overpass and parking for 330 cars, including places with fast charging stations, by the end of October. In the second stage, it is planned to extend and expand access lanes due to the lane left for construction machinery.
Earlier, it was reported that the president had studied the new “Tashkent-Eastern” airport. On the territory of the new air harbor, a platform for 20 aircraft was built and modern hangars, as well as VIP and CIP terminals, were erected.
