The air quality in Tashkent is deteriorating every day

The capital is not dropping in the ranking of the world's most dirty cities.

On October 21, the content of fine particulate matter PM2.5 amounted to 77 μg/m³, which is 15.4 times higher than the WHO recommended value, according to IQAir data.

Thus, as of 08:00, the content of ozone pollutants and PM10 in the air of Tashkent did not exceed the maximum permissible values. At the same time, the concentration of hazardous particles PM2.5 exceeded the WHO norm by 15.4 times. The air quality is assessed as harmful. In the ranking of the world’s most dirty cities, the capital took 4th place.

It should be reminded that Uzbekistan was not on the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards. The Swiss company IQAir showed a report for 2024.
