The air quality in Tashkent has deteriorated significantly
Atmospheric quality is assessed as harmful.
On October 10, the content of fine particulate matter PM2.5 amounted to 60 μg/m³, which is 12 times higher than the WHO recommended value, according to IQAir data.
Thus, as of 08:00, the content of ozone pollutants and PM10 in the air of Tashkent did not exceed the maximum permissible values. At the same time, the concentration of hazardous particles PM2.5 exceeded the WHO norm by 7 times. The air quality is assessed as harmful. In the ranking of the world’s most dirty cities, the capital took 8th place.
It should be reminded that Uzbekistan was not on the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards. The Swiss company IQAir showed a report for 2024.
