The air in Tashkent has deteriorated significantly

In the ranking of the world's most dirty cities, the capital once again took the top ten.

On September 22, the content of fine particulate matter PM2.5 amounted to 24 μg/m³, which is 4.8 times higher than the WHO recommended value, according to IQAir data.

Therefore, as of 08:00, the levels of ozone pollutants and PM10 in Tashkent’s air remained below the maximum permitted limits. However, the concentration of hazardous particles PM2.5 surpassed the WHO standard by 4.8 times. Air quality is rated as average. In the ranking of the world’s most dirty cities, the capital entered the top ten.

It should be reminded that Uzbekistan was not on the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards. The Swiss company IQAir showed a report for 2024.
