The air in Tashkent has become polluted
Compared to the previous day, the atmospheric quality has deteriorated significantly.
On September 18, the content of fine particulate matter PM2.5 amounted to 27 μg/m³, which is 5.4 times higher than the WHO recommended value, according to IQAir data.
Therefore, as of 08:00, the levels of ozone pollutants and PM10 in Tashkent’s air did not surpass the maximum allowable limits. However, the concentration of hazardous particles PM2.5 was 5.4 times higher than the WHO standard. Air quality is rated as average. In the ranking of the world’s most polluted air, the capital took 15th place.
It should be reminded that Uzbekistan was not on the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards. The Swiss company IQAir showed a report for 2024.
