Tens of thousands of drivers were fined for traffic violations
The Road Safety Department stated that the number of accidents has decreased since the system was implemented.

In Uzbekistan, over a hundred thousand drivers received fine points in the first five months of 2025, with one offender reaching the 8-point mark, according to Zoyir Yuldoshev, Head of the Road Safety Department’s press service.
The expert said that during the period from June 1, 2025, when the system was first launched in the country, more than 114 thousand drivers managed to receive penalty points. At the same time, the number of accidents and violations during this period decreased by 6.3%, and the number of accidents caused by drivers decreased by 31.2%.
These figures show that the introduction of the penalty point system has indeed yielded practical results. After all, before their introduction, such positive dynamics in road accidents were not observed, — noted Zoir Yuldoshev.
In particular, according to the department, during the period from June 1 to October 30, 114,274 drivers received 1 to 5 points, and another 6 drivers received 5 to 6 points. In addition, according to the department, two drivers received 7 and 8 points respectively. Meanwhile, to be deprived of the license, it is enough for the driver to score 12 points.
It should be noted that for the phased implementation of the system, penalty points will be accrued only on the basis of decisions made based on administrative protocols drawn up by traffic police officers. Fines for traffic violations will be automatically calculated through the E-jarimaball module — a unified automated information system of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. Drivers will be notified of the accrual of each penalty point via SMS.
Earlier, it was reported that drivers would be able to find out the number of penalty points for violating traffic rules through the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services.
