From January 5th to 19th, Tashkent residents will be able to participate in naming unnamed streets in the Yangikhayot district of Tashkent, according to the city administration’s press service.
According to the department, naming streets will help navigate the area and make it more recognizable. Names can reflect the history, nature, or characteristics of a territory: streets with parks can receive natural names, historical quarters — the names of famous people or events.
When choosing a name, its simplicity, sonority, and ease of pronunciation, as well as its historical, patriotic, or original value, are taken into account. Suggestions can be sent in the following ways:
- by phone: +998-71-210-04-13 (on working days from 09:00 to 17:00);
- by sending a letter to the address: 100060, Tashkent city, Chilanzar district, Islam Karimov street, 51;
- by sending an email to: geonom@digitaltashkent.uz.
As a reminder, developers will be required to name residential complexes in Uzbek. They will also be required to write all information about the object in the state language.
