In Uzbekistan, 40 thousand citizens with disabilities are planned to be employed in 2026, for which the authorities will allocate interest-free loans, according to the presidential decree.

According to the information, the funds will be allocated by the Employment Promotion Fund and directed to creating working conditions for citizens with disabilities or expanding their own businesses. In particular, a loan of up to 75 BCV (30.9 million soums) will be allocated for a period of up to 3 years — citizens will be able to spend this money on purchasing equipment, tools, materials for work, connecting to internet services, and other work needs.

Starting from May 2026, information about persons with disabilities wishing to work from the National Social Protection Agency system will be displayed in the taxpayer’s personal business account. Also, authorities were instructed to establish direct integration with the Tax Committee system by July.

In addition, from January 1, 2026, to January 1, 2028, enterprises where at least a quarter of the average annual number of employees are persons with disabilities will be able to receive tax deductions equal to their accrued salaries: for property tax — up to 100%, and for land tax — up to 90% of the amount payable.

It is noted that the number of employees with disabilities in such enterprises should be at least 4 people. At the same time, the benefit will apply if companies provide the main workplace to persons with group I and II disabilities or disabilities since childhood, and will not apply to large taxpayers, budget organizations, and state-owned companies.

Earlier, it was reported that in Uzbekistan, the costs of re-equipping cars for people with disabilities will be compensated. Applications can be submitted within a limited timeframe.
