Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the military parade in China

The event was attended by leaders and representatives from over twenty states.

On September 3, Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in a solemn military parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War, which took place in Tiananmen Square, the presidential press service reports.

The event was attended by leaders and representatives of more than twenty countries, including the leaders of Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Vietnam, Egypt and other countries.

In his address, President of China Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory, maintaining peace and ensuring justice under current global conditions.

The parade featured 45 formations of the People’s Liberation Army of China. The latest models of missile systems, tanks, aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles produced by Chinese defense industry were showcased. Such parades have been held in Beijing since 1949, while the most recent grand military review taking place on October 1, 2019 involved around 15 thousand participants.

The participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the ceremonial events in Beijing became yet another confirmation of the consistent foreign policy course of our country, aimed at strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between nations, as well as developing constructive dialogue at regional and global levels in the name of peace, sustainable development and prosperity.
