Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed strengthening cooperation between the CIS countries
The President paid special attention to the situation in Afghanistan.

At the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, Shavkat Mirziyoyev made a number of proposals for increasing the effectiveness of interaction and strengthening the stability of the economies of the Commonwealth countries, the presidential press service reports.
The Head of State proposed to develop transport and innovation infrastructure, energy, digitalization, education and security, including the creation of logistics centers, a venture platform, forums, and joint programs in the field of energy and science. He also touched upon the situation in Afghanistan.
In particular, the President:
- emphasized the stability and relevance of the CIS format in the context of global instability and proposed to focus efforts on practical areas of cooperation;
- put forward a proposal to create information and logistics centers integrated with all modes of transport and to hold the Conference of the CIS Countries on Public-Private Partnership in Transport in Uzbekistan;
- proposed to prepare a “road map” for supporting and developing special economic zones, as well as to create a CIS Venture Platform for promoting startups and innovations;
- announced Uzbekistan’s readiness to hold the CIS Innovation Industry Forum in Tashkent within the framework of the “INNOPROM” exhibition;
- advocated for the development of the CIS Energy Sector Innovative Development Program and the implementation of joint projects in traditional and “green” energy;
- proposed to prepare a multilateral Action Plan on digitalization and artificial intelligence, to expand cooperation in science, education and culture;
- выдвинул инициативу о новом Межгосударственном соглашении о взаимном признании дипломов и о проведении в Хиве Молодёжного форума СНГ с созданием Молодёжной лаборатории инноваций;
- touched upon security issues and proposed to intensify coordination between the foreign ministries and special services of the CIS countries, paying special attention to the situation in Afghanistan, and proposed to jointly participate in infrastructure projects in this country.
