Several Umrah tour operators were punished in Uzbekistan
The companies allowed violations in the advertising of pilgrimage tours.

In Uzbekistan, 12 cases have been initiated against tour operators and social media administrators for violating the laws on advertising small pilgrimage tours, the press service of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection reports.
Specialists analyzed the advertisements of travel agencies in the media and on the Internet related to the organization and conduct of Umrah. Based on the results of the inspection in Navoi region and Tashkent, law enforcement officers initiated cases against 3 tour operators who placed advertising materials without having the appropriate license.
As a result, the travel agencies MUS ALI TOUR, Amirxan Travel and TRAVEL ATA were fined. Additionally, committee representatives in Fergana, Namangan, and Tashkent regions held accountable the administrators of 9 Telegram and Instagram channels that also violated legislation requirements in advertising. It is noted that based on the results of the inspection, specialists will take appropriate measures for all recorded cases.
Earlier, it was reported that one could come to Saudi Arabia for Umrah with any visa. The country’s authorities plan that the new measure will help increase the number of pilgrims.
