Over a thousand hectares of land will be designated for the construction of the new Tashkent airport

Most of the land is covered with irrigated fields.

The regional cadastre press service reports that nearly 1,310 hectares of land will be allocated across two districts of the Tashkent region for the construction of a new international airport in Tashkent.

Of the total area, 790.76 hectares were allocated in the Urta Chirchik district, and 519 hectares in the Kuyi Chirchik district. Of the allocated plots, 1075.45 hectares are irrigated lands. Another 112.69 hectares are orchards, 0.65 hectares are pastures and hayfields, and 120.97 hectares are other lands.

Urta Chirchik district:

  • irrigated lands – 609.95 hectares;
  • orchards – 112.63 hectares;
  • pastures and hayfields – 0.65 hectares;
  • other lands – 67.53 hectares.

Kuyi Chirchik district:

  • irrigated lands – 465.5 hectares;
  • orchards – 0.06 hectares;
  • other lands – 53.44 hectares.
