Outlet centers with national architecture will be built around Uzbekistan’s tourist attractive cities

According to a government decree, Uzbekistan will attract world-renowned clothing brands to its shopping and entertainment complexes, as well as establish modern outlet centers around cities.

According to the information, the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, together with the Tourism Committee and local government bodies, will be engaged in attracting foreign brands to the country. The authorities will build modern outlet centers around the cities, which will be based on the national architectural style.

In particular, in the first stage until 2030, such centers will appear in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, and in the second stage, authorities will begin to build such centers in other settlements with high tourism potential. In addition, according to the resolution, the new Tourism Committee will become the responsible state body for coordinating the return to foreign film companies of part of the costs of creating their films on the territory of the republic.

Thus, from March 1, 2026, a procedure will be introduced in the country to pay for the creation of episodes of films directly or indirectly demonstrating the tourist attractiveness, historical and cultural heritage, and other important positive aspects of Uzbekistan, including those shot on the territory of the country, in our own pavilions or using computer graphics, through negotiations with reputable foreign film companies, at the expense of the Fund.

Earlier, it was reported that a Tourism Committee would be established in Uzbekistan to develop the sector, as well as tourism and transport logistics in the country. In particular, the authorities plan to double the number of foreign tourists and the number of 4- and 5-star hotels in the country by 2030.
