“Ordered Drunk Interviews”: First President’s daughter responds to his critics
Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva stated that Islam Karimov's policy during a difficult period for the country was wise and far-sighted.

Uzbekistan’s first president, Islam Karimov’s youngest daughter, Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva, responded to attempts to discredit Islam Karimov’s role in the country’s development.
In her video message on the anniversary of Islam Karimov’s death, she stated that the policies of the first president of Uzbekistan during a difficult period for the country were wise and foresighted. She addressed the “flashing attacks in the information space” against him and viewed them as attempts to diminish the politician’s role in the early years of independence.
I often see these attacks on him and these ordered drunk interviewers, trolley farms trying to blacken him in some way. This looks very amusing and evokes mixed feelings.
Because what has already been done is done. He played his role in Uzbekistan’s history. It can be viewed from different angles, but I believe it is important to highlight the main components that were implemented and led Uzbekistan to its current path, said Karimova-Tillayeva.
Lola Karimova-Tillayeva recognised the preservation of peace in the country as one of Islam Karimov’s key achievements. She also expressed her gratitude to those remembering the first president with warmth and appreciation.
