On January 1, 2026, 1094 babies were born in the country, of which 539 were boys and 555 were girls, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
According to the information, the largest number of newborn babies was registered in the Fergana region — 138. Following are Surkhandarya (135), Samarkand (125), Kashkadarya (121) and Namangan regions (110).
Of the 17 twins born, 15 were twins, 1 was triplets, and 1 was quadruplets — a total of 37 little ones. Doctors provide them with medical care according to certain standards.
In 2020, 1111 babies were born on the first day of the new year, in 2021 — 1086, in 2022 — 1448, in 2023 — 1312, in 2024 — 1043, in 2025 — 1040.
