Number of tourists who visited Uzbekistan revealed
Most often, citizens of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan visited the country.

Since the beginning of 2025, 7.5 million foreign citizens have visited Uzbekistan on tourist visits, with Kyrgyzstan’s tourists being the most frequent visitors, according to the National Statistics Committee.
According to the information, compared to the same period in 2024, the number of tourists increased by 49.1%. Thus, the increase in figures amounted to 2.5 million people. It is noted that Kyrgyzstan has become the leader in the number of visitors — from there, 2.16 million trips were recorded in eight months, which is also 48.9% more than in 2024.
Next is Kazakhstan, from which there were 1.76 million trips with an increase of 73.5%, and Tajikistan — 1.69 million people and an increase of 15.6%. Further, the countries ranked as follows:
- Russia — 663,2 thousand people;
- Afghanistan — 304,5 thousand people;
- Turkmenistan — 243,5 thousand people.
China led in the number of visitors from distant foreign countries, with 135.4 thousand people arriving in the country, while in 2024 their number was only 42 thousand people. Turkey followed, where the growth was only 1.5% or 113.1 thousand visitors. Further, the countries also ranked as follows:
- India — 42,2 thousand citizens;
- South Korea — 30 thousand citizens;
- Other countries — 349.8 thousand visitors.
It is noted that the purpose of 5.16 million trips was to visit relatives in the country. Another nearly 1.15 million foreigners arrived for leisure and recreation, 837.5 thousand for official purposes, and 287.7 thousand for commercial purposes. Also, 62 thousand visitors arrived in the country for medical purposes, and 14.2 thousand for study.
It was previously reported that tourists will have the opportunity to visit Uzbek homes for dinner. A new platform will help develop tourism.
