“Kelajak” center opened in Uzbekistan

Directors were also found at the institution.

In Uzbekistan, the working principle of “Kelajak” centers, as well as the position of “school advisor”, which will help coordinate their work within the framework of general education institutions, has been approved.

According to the information, the relevant decree was signed by the head of state. In particular, on the basis of the Republican “Barkamol Avlod” Children’s School and the Republican Center of Student Youth, the republican “Kelajak” Center will appear in the country. Such centers are planned to be created in Karakalpakstan, regions, Tashkent, and districts, as well as on the basis of “Barkamol Avlod” children’s schools.

In addition, children’s tourist bases will appear in the country at the “Kelajak” centers in Bukhara, Namangan, Samarkand, and Khorezm regions. To effectively implement the center system in schools, the position of “School Advisor for Supporting Students’ Initiatives” will also be introduced. At the same time, the salary of such an advisor will be equal to the official salary of the deputy director of a general secondary education organization.

Also, from September 1, 2026, school advisors holding a manager’s certificate will be able to receive monthly bonuses of 30% of their respective official salary during the certificate’s validity period. The document also regulates the responsibilities of the centers. In particular, they will be able:

  • organize clubs with the involvement of qualified specialists and non-state training centers on a contractual basis;
  • increase, in agreement with parents, the amount of parental payment compared to the minimum amounts established in the republic.

In addition, authorities plan to revise the minimum parental fees for tuition at “Kelajak” centers starting January 1, 2026. By the number of their contingent, it is planned to divide them into two groups. Centers with 600 participants will be included in Group I, and centers with fewer participants will be included in Group II. Indira Abdukarimovna Kholdarova was appointed Director of the “Kelajak” Republican Center.

Earlier, it was reported that the countries of Central Asia would begin protecting children together. EU and CA Commissioners for Children’s Rights convened a forum in Tashkent.
