It was revealed which region of Uzbekistan is the leader in growing melons and gourds

From January to September 2025, all categories of farms in the republic produced 2.1 million tons of melons and gourds, the press service of the National Statistics Committee reports.

According to the department, this indicator increased by 15.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2024. Volume of grown melons and gourds by region:

• Karakalpakstan — 157,512 tons;
• Andijan region — 141,375 tons;
• Bukhara region — 150,866 tons;
• Jizzakh region — 280,230 tons;
• Kashkadarya region — 265,186 tons;
• Navoi region — 73,340 tons;
• Namangan region — 99,462 tons;
• Samarkand region — 112,910 tons;
• Surkhandarya region — 262,018 tons;
• Syrdarya region — 276,475 tons;
• Tashkent region — 60,288 tons;
• Fergana region — 126,551 tons;
• Khorezm region — 127,537 tons.
