It became known how much melon Uzbekistan produced in a year
Half of the total harvest was grown in farms.
According to the National Statistics Committee, in 2024, all categories of farms in the republic produced 953 thousand tons of melons.
Of these:
- in farms – 512.4 thousand tons;
- in dehkan and subsidiary farms – 389.6 thousand tons;
- in organizations engaged in agricultural activities – 51 thousand tons.
As a reminder, Uzbekistan plans to develop a new melon variety. The improved type of melon crop will be distinguished by high yield and resistance to diseases. Modern approaches, deep analysis, and innovative methods are actively used in breeding work.
