A citizen wanted internationally for fraud was extradited from Croatia to Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported.

The extradition was carried out through coordinated efforts by the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Uzbekistan and Croatia, as well as with the full support of the Consulate of Uzbekistan in Hungary. The citizen will be held accountable in the future.

The events held confirm the effectiveness of international police cooperation and the parties’ commitment to the principle of the inevitability of accountability for crimes committed, — the statement said.

As a reminder, Interpol detained two wanted criminals from Uzbekistan in Georgia. The detainees are accused of large-scale fraud and human trafficking.
