In the illustration, citizens in skullcaps are depicted on the street wearing gas masks.

Inkuzart street artist dedicated his new graffiti to the problem of air pollution in Uzbekistan.

In the painting, the artist depicted people wearing gas masks and national headwear, probably referring to the poor air quality in Tashkent. As of November 3, the number of PM2.5 particles exceeds the WHO norm by 17.2 times. The capital ranks third in the world in terms of poor air quality.

It’s worth noting that for the second consecutive day, the air quality in Tashkent has been assessed as harmful. In the ranking of the world’s most dirty cities, the capital took 3rd place and has not dropped from the leaders. According to Uzhydromet, on November 2nd, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, automatic stations recorded an increase in the concentration of fine-disperse PM2.5 particles in all districts of Tashkent – from 2.4 to 5.6 times higher than normal.

In some parts of Tashkent, air quality has become very harmful to residents: the amount of PM2.5 particles exceeds WHO standards by 40 times.
