For the laureates of the awards, a solemn evening will be organized.

New awards for talented playwrights and young directors have been established in Uzbekistan, according to a government decree.
According to the information, the authorities plan to hold a competition to determine the laureates every two years. It is planned that the award will be given to those who actively work in the field of theater and make a significant contribution to enriching the repertoire with productions on current themes. Candidates can be submitted until February 1st, after which specialists will determine the winners until March 1st.
There will be a Mahmudhoji Behbudi Award for talented playwrights and a Bahodir Yuldoshev Award for young and active directors. Along with the award, the winners will also receive a cash prize of 50 BRV (63.5 million soums), as well as a diploma and a statuette. Also, a solemn ceremony for the laureates will be held annually on the eve of the International Theatre Day — March 27.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan and Slovenia discussed exchange programs for young creative professionals. The parties also want to organize master classes and cultural exchanges between specialized educational institutions of the two countries.
