Names will be brought into line with the rules of the state language.

The names of railway stations, stations, and junctions will be brought into line with the rules and norms of the state language, according to a government decree.

The Ministry of Transport and Uzbekistan Railways shall, within three months, ensure the writing of inscriptions and information signs at railway stations, stations, and junctions according to the rules and norms of the state language based on the Latin script. In this regard, changes will be made to the relevant documents and databases.

The document approved a list of stations, terminals, and junctions whose names will be adapted to the requirements of the state language. It included 320 facilities located in Karakalpakstan, regions of Uzbekistan, and Tashkent.

As a reminder, the underpass near the North Railway Station will be converted into a trade and service area. The authorities plan to build projects there that will attract more residents.
