In Uzbekistan, more than half of those wishing to divorce have tried it out
The authorities regularly hold meetings to preserve families.

Since the beginning of 2025, about 7,000 divorce cases have been reviewed in Tashkent, which is more than in 2024, while reconciliation measures were taken in more than half of the cases, UzA reports citing the judge of the capital’s city court, Jasur Sirozhev.
According to the information, from January to September, courts reviewed 6.7 thousand cases of divorce, which is 468 more than in the same period of 2024. At the same time, out of the total number of cases considered, the courts satisfied about 3 thousand claims, and in 3.7 thousand cases, measures were taken to reconcile the parties.
During this period, the number of such cases amounted to 26.8% of the total number of claims reviewed by the inter-district courts for civil cases in the country. It is emphasized that to preserve families in the country, meetings dedicated to marriage and family issues are regularly held, and deadlines are set for reconciliation between the parties. Also, regarding rejected claims, specialists send letters to the family and women’s support departments.
It should be noted that the president emphasized the importance of promoting the benefits of concluding a marriage contract to prevent cases of difficult material situation of spouses, especially children. The country’s leader also reminded of the importance of holding special events for young people and explaining that creating a family is a great responsibility not only for oneself but also for one’s partner and children.
