In Uzbekistan, “green” ideas of young eco-active citizens will be financed
For this, a special fund will appear.

In Uzbekistan, young eco-active citizens will be allocated funds for the implementation of “green” ideas, the press service of the Youth Affairs Agency reports.
According to the information, starting from 2026, the authorities plan to allocate up to 10 billion soums annually for the implementation of “green” ideas aimed at environmental protection and raising environmental awareness. To implement the plans, a “Green Initiatives Support Fund” will be established under the Youth Affairs Agency.
The fund will finance projects that promote love for nature and ecological culture, as well as waste recycling, green energy, and environmentally friendly technologies. It is also planned to support initiatives for tree planting and care, as well as youth ideas on climate change and environmental sustainability. In addition, the following projects will be financed:
- creation of video, animation, and media projects on environmental topics;
- organization of competitions and campaigns on energy efficiency;
- initiatives for the restoration of forests, the development of ecotourism;
- conducting eco-challenges and creating mobile applications that reduce energy consumption.
Earlier, it was reported that fines for environmental violations would increase in Uzbekistan. The updated list was published by the Tashkent City Ecology Department.
