In Uzbekistan, foreigners will be able to extend their visas online through the state services portal

In Uzbekistan, the function of extending the stay visa for foreign citizens online, through the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services, has appeared, the press service of the Unified Interactive Government Services Portal reports.
According to the information, now foreigners and stateless persons staying in the country will be able to apply online for the extension of their stay. The service will be available in the “Citizenship” section. To use it, the applicant must fill out a form and attach a copy of their passport, as well as a document confirming the grounds for extending the visa.
Applications can be submitted no later than 10 days before the visa expires. Also, the application can be submitted by citizens of Uzbekistan — close relatives or trusted representatives of a foreign citizen wishing to extend the visa. In this case, it will be necessary to attach a notarized power of attorney when applying.
After applying within 15 days, the application will be reviewed by the Migration and Personalization Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and in case of a positive response, a receipt for payment of the state fee will be sent to the applicant. After paying all expenses, the citizen must submit their passport to the local migration department within three working days and, no later than two working days, will be able to obtain the passport back with the permit-sticker.
