In Uzbekistan, discounts will be introduced for pensioners in the tourism sector

From November 1 to 30, discounts will be introduced for elderly people on tourism services: transportation, accommodation, and visits to cultural heritage sites, the press service of the Tourism Committee reports.

In particular, across the republic, discounts of up to 20% have been introduced for the services of accommodation facilities operating in the regions. Uzbekistan Airways offers discounts of up to 15% on all economy class tickets for men over 60 and women over 55. This offer is valid for domestic flights until the end of November.

In addition, for this category of citizens

• Uzbekistan Railways announces a 20% discount on the fare for all domestic trains (except for the high-speed Afrosiyob electric trains);
• Discounts of up to 10% have been introduced for entrance tickets to state museums and cultural heritage sites under the jurisdiction of the Cultural Heritage Agency;
• Discounts of up to 20% have been introduced for visiting pilgrimage sites under the jurisdiction of the “Vaqf” Charitable Public Fund.

As a reminder, in Uzbekistan, pensioners’ provision can be transferred to private hands. The authorities also proposed to completely digitalize services in the sector.
