In Uzbekistan, bank employees are forced to spend their money due to the government’s plan to create new jobs, “Gazeta.uz” reports.

According to one of the employees, he has been forced to find ten unemployed people every month for almost two years. After that, the man registered citizens through the Mehnat.uz platform for “fictitious” work with a quarter rate. He also has to pay them salaries in the reports and pay income tax for them from his salary. He added that this happens not only to him.

I spend my own money and patiently continue to work. And such a situation is not unique to me – many bank employees across the country have found themselves in such a situation. Patience is running out, people are starting to get angry. When will the banks begin their work? — he asked.

As a reminder, Uzbekistan plans to eradicate absolute poverty by 2030. The Head of State said that the country has all the possibilities for this task.
