In Uzbekistan, AI will help in detecting and preventing emergencies

In Uzbekistan, artificial intelligence will help in detecting and preventing emergencies, the press service of the Ministry of Justice reports.

The Presidential Decree of October 20 “On the qualitative transition to a new stage in the field of reliable protection of the population from emergencies” defined priority areas for reforms in the field of qualitative improvement of the level of protection of the population, including:

• Prioritizing activities in the regions to prevent emergencies early and reduce their consequences, creating and effectively implementing broad preventive mechanisms at the mahalla level;
• a set of measures for reviewing the requirements and norms of state control forms in the field of emergency situations, taking into account modern requirements and transforming the mechanisms for their implementation;
• widespread introduction of artificial intelligence, robotics, and modern digital technologies in the field of eliminating emergencies, uniting the information systems of responsible bodies and organizations into a single technological platform.

Within the framework of this concept, the main tasks of state policy are also defined, including:

• conducting preventive measures to protect against emergencies “by mahallas” and “by houses”;
• wide involvement of the population, volunteer rescuers and volunteers in the work on protection from emergencies;
• adaptation of methods and methodologies for assessing monitoring and forecasting, as well as determining the consequences, scale and nature of emergencies, to modern requirements;
• ensuring the stable operation of facilities of high economic importance that are sources of energy, radiation, chemical, explosion, and other hazards.

As a reminder, artificial intelligence will be introduced into the enforcement discipline control system in Uzbekistan. The Accounts Chamber will be reorganized and assigned additional tasks.
