In Tashkent, illegally occupied playgrounds and green spaces are starting to be reclaimed
The Prosecutor General's Office identified hundreds of similar cases.

Large-scale work is being carried out in Tashkent to restore illegally built green areas and children’s playgrounds, according to the report “Uzbekistan 24”.
The Prosecutor General’s Office found 374 such cases in the capital. In the Mirzo-Ulugbek district, 56 violations were found. In one of the mahallas, a plot of 27 sotix was returned to the state reserve by the decision of the district prosecutor’s office. Two criminal cases have been initiated, and a preliminary investigation is underway.
A total of 318 cases of illegal land use were recorded in the Yunusabad and Yakkasaray districts. “Uzbekcosmos” noted that archival aerospace images are used for analysis. Comparison of images from 2018-2019 with current data showed a large number of violations.
Earlier, the president was indignant at the construction of playgrounds and green areas. Responsible authorities will monitor the situation using satellite imagery.
