In Tashkent, certain road sections will be temporarily closed because of festive events
Drivers were apologised to and asked to consider the changes when planning their route.

In celebration of the 34th anniversary of independence, several sections of roads in Tashkent will be temporarily closed, reports the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs.
According to the information, traffic will be closed on 1 September from 17:00 to 23:00. In particular, temporary restrictions will be introduced on the following routes:
- from Mahtumquli Street to the intersection with Ohangaron Highway — 4R12;
- along Chulpon Street to the New Uzbekistan — National Park intersection;
- to the intersection of Yangi Uzbekistan Street and Temirchi Street.
Residents and guests of the capital were apologized for the inconvenience caused and recommended to take changes into account when planning routes.
Earlier, it was reported that on some roads in Uzbekistan, speeds may be permitted up to 130 km/h. The final decision will be made after inspections and infrastructure preparations.
