In the Fergana region, law enforcement officers detained a man who was about to open a hunt in an unspecified location, the press service of the regional Department of Ecology reports.
According to the information, specialists detained a local resident on an agricultural land located in the Istiqlol federal district of the Tashloq district.
The man arrived at the territory with a 16-gauge TOS double-barreled hunting rifle. Law enforcement officers confiscated the weapon from the man and transferred it to the Toshloq District Department of Internal Affairs for temporary storage until a court decision is issued. It is noted that the citizen violated Articles 30 and 35 of the Law “On Protection of the Animal World”.
Earlier, it was reported that three poachers killed rare mountain goats in Surkhandarya. The environmental damage caused by hunting amounted to 4.5 billion soums.
