In the Surkhandarya region, an oil liquid surfaced at the “M-25” field in the Boysun district, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reports.
According to the department, to prevent its spread, additional protective settling tanks were built around the area, as well as along the riverbed.
The collected oil liquid is continuously transported to a special site, where there are two insulated sludge storage tanks with a capacity of 5 thousand cubic meters each. This allows for the safe storage of petroleum fluid and its further effective use, — the statement said.
It is reported that the work is being carried out in full compliance with the current requirements of industrial and environmental safety. Analytical studies are being conducted on the selected petroleum fluid samples. Based on their results, the possibilities of processing will be studied, and geological studies will continue.
The situation is under constant monitoring, the outflow of oil liquid has been localized. Work is underway to clean the oil liquid that entered the canal in the first days. Further information on the situation will be provided later, — the Ministry of Energy reported.
