In Abkhazia, an Uzbek citizen was awarded for saving World War II veteran Evdokia Kotlyarova during a fire, reports “ЧП Абхазия”.
The fire broke out in the city of Gagra. Uzbek citizen Fakhriddin Suyarov entered a burning apartment and took out Evdokia Kotlyarova, who cannot move independently. For his courage, the Gagra district administration awarded Faxriddin Suyarov with a letter of appreciation and monetary rewards.
The cause of the fire was a short circuit in the power grid. The loggia was completely burned out, and the other rooms were covered with soot. It is reported that no one was injured, the pensioner is feeling well. Restoration work will be carried out at the expense of the district budget.
