Hokims will have new advisors

In Uzbekistan, the position of advisor to the head on spiritual and state language issues will be introduced, according to a government decree.

According to the information, a new position will be introduced from January 1, 2026, in the central offices of state bodies, republican-level economic associations, the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, as well as in khokimiyats of various levels. At the same time, the new position will be approved within the established number of managerial personnel.

Furthermore, authorities will begin developing a new generation of Uzbek language textbooks for schools with native language instruction starting in 2026, as well as developing methodological guides for preschool teachers, publishing an illustrated explanatory dictionary for children titled “My First Explanatory Dictionary,” and modern animated products for teaching Uzbek.

It is planned that these measures should help to form respect for the state language from an early age, as well as contribute to the development of international language cooperation. It is worth noting that Uzbekistan plans to digitize all literature and data in the Uzbek language, as well as create an “Uzbek Language Corpus” to develop AI that reflects national values.

Earlier, it was reported that those who do not speak the state language will be able to speak Uzbek thanks to AI. Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on additional measures for the further development of the state language.
