From January 16 to 19, due to expected precipitation and changes in air temperature, avalanche danger is possible in the foothill and mountainous regions of the republic, the press service of Uzhydromet reports.

The following areas are designated as hazardous:

  • Kashkadarya region: in Dehkanabad, Kitab, Kamashi, and Shahrisabz districts;
  • Surkhandarya region: in Boysun, Kumkurgan, Saryaziya, Uzun districts;
  • Samarkand region: Nurabad, Kushrabat, Samarkand, Urgut districts;
  • Jizzakh region: in Bakhmal, Zomin districts;
  • Tashkent region: in Bostanlyk, Parkent, and Ohangaron districts;
  • Namangan region: Pop district.

Citizens living in foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling to mountainous areas were urged to observe safety precautions.
