Erkinjon Turdimov has been confirmed as Sirdaryo region governor

During his visit to the Syrdarya region, the country’s leader participated in the election of the new regional governor and nominated Erkinjon Turdimov as a candidate.

The head of state noted that after studying the opinions of the population and entrepreneurs, he decided to recommend Erkinjon Turdimov for the position of khokim. Also, during the meeting, the region’s activists spoke, after which the issue was put to a vote, and as a result, the man was approved for the position.

The President emphasized that the governor needs to work to implement his plans for the development of the Syrdarya region, as well as to make the region one of the most advanced in 2026, attract $3 billion in investments to the region, increase exports to $500 million, and provide jobs for 185,000 people.

We are working so that our people live a decent life, their children acquire modern knowledge and professions, and their incomes grow. I am confident that if we work diligently for another year or two, Syrdarya region will face great growth and development.

To organize such work in the region, we need a purposeful, demanding, and most importantly, capable leader who can promptly find solutions to issues concerning the population and entrepreneurs, — the head of state concluded.

Earlier, it was reported that thousands of houses in the Syrdarya region would be renovated. Developers will be provided with tax and customs benefits.
