Details of expanding the BRT system in Tashkent have been released

In the capital, checkpoints at city entrances and exits will be moved to prevent traffic jams.

The posts at the entrances and exits of Tashkent will be moved, according to the First Deputy Hokim of the capital, Bakhtiyor Hakimov.

The Tashkent city administration presented updated plans for creating infrastructure for bus lanes in the capital. According to them, the BRT system will be built on 10 streets, their total length will be about 51 kilometers (in the old presentation, it was 57.5 km).

Previously, Alisher Navoi-Beruni streets were added to the Great Ring Road-Parkent street in the rough presentation. Thus, according to the latest project presented to the president, the BRT system will be built on the streets:

  • Shota Rustaveli (5.1 km),
  • Shahrisabz (3.2 km),
  • Amir Temur (5.7 km),
  • Yangi Sergeli (5.3 km),
  • Mahtumkuli (1.3 km),
  • Mirzo Ulugbek-Feruza-Yuzrabot (10.4 km),
  • Lutfiy and Mukimiy (5.9 km),
  • Nurafshon (3.7 km),
  • Karatosh-Kukcha Darvoza (4 km)
  • Alisher Navoi-Beruni (6 km).

$126 million is planned to be spent on the implementation of these works (in the old presentation, it was $110 million). In addition, the posts at the entrances and exits of Tashkent will be moved to prevent traffic jams.
