Buses in Tashkent have increased raids on those without tickets

The fine is nearly 25 times more costly than the fare.

The Transport Control Inspectorate, along with employees of the Tashkent Passenger Transport Control and Supervision Department, reported that control measures in buses have been reinforced.

Since the beginning of the year, over six thousand violations have been recorded, and administrative procedures have been prepared for each case. The fine amounts to 1/10 of the BCV, or 41,200 soums, which is nearly 25 times more than the paid 1,700 soums.

It is noteworthy that in seven months, from January to August, slightly more than four thousand violators were identified, and in the past one and a half months, over two thousand “rabbits” were recognised. Statistics on repeated violations are not provided.

Notably, Article 144 (Passing without a ticket) of the Administrative Code includes a third part — a passenger flying without a ticket, and a “rabbit” flight is punishable by a fine of three BCV or 1,236,000 soums.

Earlier, it was reported that the creation of night buses was approved in Tashkent. The fare will be the same as for the daytime routes.
