Uzbekistan has established combat duty of a new special unit at the state border, which has been staffed with Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles, SSS Chairman Bakhodir Kurbanov announced at an expanded meeting of the Security Council.
As part of the implementation of the instructions on improving the combat readiness of the Armed Forces, the State Security Service organized systematic work to improve the combat readiness and training of units and state security agencies.
In the State Border Guard System, 42% of the border lines were equipped with a video surveillance system. In addition, 1117 km of fiber-optic communication lines were laid. Bahodir Kurbanov reported that the border troops were provided with 98 percent of armored vehicles, 86 percent of floating vehicles, 100 percent of weapons and ammunition, and 78 percent of electronic-optical equipment.
