An Association of Individual Vehicle and Bicycle Operators has been established in Uzbekistan, which will protect the interests of market participants and create unified rules, the press service of the capital’s khokimiyat reports.
According to the information, the new association will be a non-profit industry platform uniting micro-mobility and cyclo-infrastructure companies. It is planned that it will be engaged in protecting the interests of market participants, developing unified rules, systematic coordination with government agencies, as well as exchanging expertise and promoting innovations in sustainable urban transport.
It is planned that a permanent working platform will be created for the operation of the platform, which will coordinate operators, exchange analytics, and promptly resolve practical issues in cooperation with businesses and government agencies.
Earlier, it was reported that penalties for scooter, scooter, and bicycle drivers were introduced in Uzbekistan. Now, drivers will not be penalized for late submission of information about violations to the traffic police.
