Air quality in Tashkent has deteriorated significantly
In the ranking of the world's most dirty cities, the capital took first place.
On October 6, the content of fine particulate matter PM2.5 amounted to 65 μg/m³, which is 13 times higher than the WHO recommended value, according to IQAir data.
Thus, as of 08:00, the content of ozone pollutants and PM10 in the air of Tashkent did not exceed the maximum permissible values. At the same time, the concentration of hazardous particles PM2.5 exceeded the WHO norm by 13 times. The air quality is assessed as harmful.
In the ranking of the world’s most dirty cities, the capital took first place.
It should be reminded that Uzbekistan was not on the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards. The Swiss company IQAir showed a report for 2024.
