“Adolat” urged the Prosecutor General’s Office to punish those responsible for poisoning children in the Tashkent region
Deputies took control of the situation with the mass poisoning of children in Tashkent region.

Members of the “Adolat” faction took control of the situation with the mass poisoning of children in kindergartens in the Tashkent region and sent a parliamentary inquiry to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to clarify what measures are being taken to resolve the situation, the faction’s press service reports.
According to the information, deputies formed a working group, which included representatives of the parliament and local councils, and began conducting research to study the real situation and clarify the root causes of the problem. The party noted that the information about a large number of poisoning cases indicates the seriousness of the situation and emphasized that they assess the problem not only as a medical and sanitary issue, but also as a signal of social anxiety.
The health of our children, their lives and future should be the main priority, and we believe that the main reason for the current situation is the lack of proper control over the quality of the products they supply. Strict adherence to standards, rules, and sanitary norms in areas related to children’s health should be the direct responsibility of every manufacturer and supplier.
Expanding the mechanisms of public control, transparent and open monitoring of the activities of producers and suppliers is a requirement of today. Moreover, this situation clearly showed how vulnerable society is when control and responsibility are lost, — the statement said.
The deputies emphasized the need to seriously investigate the causes of this situation and bring the perpetrators to justice, and also spoke in favor of radically strengthening state control in the field of food safety. In this regard, the faction members sent a parliamentary inquiry to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to express their opinion on the issues of ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of affected children, as well as to issue a legal assessment of the actions of persons involved in this situation.
It’s worth noting that by 10:00 AM on September 26th, mass poisoning in Tashkent’s kindergartens affected two more districts, causing the total number of affected children to reach 1,400. 413 children in Okkurgan district, 537 kindergarten children in Buka district, 430 children in Pskent district, 64 children in Kuyichirchik district, 98 children in Bekabad district, 285 children in Almalyk district, and 113 children in Nurafshon district came to the hospitals with complaints of food poisoning.
