A unified system for conducting international accreditation exams will be introduced in Uzbekistan, according to “Gazeta.uz” reports.

Now students take three different exams at once: the final exam at school, the entrance exam to universities, and subject exams for obtaining certificates. These exams are planned to be combined into one — the Unified State Exam (USE).

This will reduce unnecessary procedures and help avoid unnecessary bureaucracy. It is also expected that the introduction of the USE will help save students’ time and reduce the financial burden on parents.

It should be noted that in July 2022, the State Testing Center under the Cabinet of Ministers published a draft presidential decree on the SOVAZ portal, which proposes the introduction of final state attestation for school graduates starting from the 2024/2025 academic year. The Ministry of Education will set the minimum number of points required to obtain a certificate.
