A judge in Andijan was caught taking a large bribe
The man promised through influential acquaintances to send citizens to South Korea for work.

In the Andijan region, law enforcement officers detained an arbitration court judge while receiving a large bribe, the State Security Service press service reported.
The judge, through influential acquaintances, promised two residents to be sent to South Korea for seasonal work and demanded $15,000 for this. To expedite the process, he took $4.1 thousand in advance. However, the man was unable to fulfill his promise. Law enforcement officers detained him while returning a portion of the received sum.
A criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 168, Part 3, Clause “a” (Fraud in a large amount) and Article 28-211 (Giving a large bribe), Part 2, Clause “b” of the Criminal Code. He was arrested. The perpetrator faces up to 10 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
As a reminder, a chief inspector of the Tax Department was caught taking a bribe in Tashkent. The accused promised the head of the textile company to cancel the accrued tax.
