Uzbekistan took first place in the World Cup in hand-to-hand combat
Nearly 400 athletes from 20 countries participated in the competition.

Uzbekistan’s athletes won 27 medals and were able to take first place in the World Cup in hand-to-hand combat, the press service of the country’s Hand-to-Hand Combat Federation reports.
According to the information, the event was held from October 4 to 8 in Astana. It is noted that about 400 athletes from 20 countries participated in the competition. The participants competed for the championship title in the “Self-Defense” and “Fighting Arts” nominations. As a result, Uzbek athletes were able to win 27 medals: 8 gold, 9 silver, and 10 bronze.
Thus, the national team took first place in the overall standings. Kazakhstan took second place in the ranking, with its representatives winning 6 gold, 5 silver, and 14 bronze medals. The top three finished with Tajikistan, whose representatives managed to win one gold medal. The winners were solemnly welcomed at the Tashkent International Airport.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbek athletes won 6 medals at the World Judo Championships. The national team took part in the individual competition among young people.
