Uzbekistan’s tennis players became champions of the ITF Juniors tournament in Baku

The competition gathered the strongest players from European and Asian countries.

From October 13th to 19th, the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J30 Baku international junior tournament took place in Baku, bringing together the strongest players from over ten countries in Europe and Asia.

The tennis players from Uzbekistan showed outstanding results, winning both in singles and doubles. In the singles category, Makhmudbek Beknazarov confidently covered the entire tournament path and became the champion, defeating Belarusian representative Nikita Davidovsky in the final with a score of 6:2, 4:0. On his way to the title, Beknazarov consistently defeated opponents from Russia, Romania, and Georgia, confirming his status as the first-seeded tournament.

In the doubles competition, the Uzbek pair of Amir Safayev and Asilbek Ismailov, who were seeded as runners-up, became the winners. In the decisive match, they defeated the Belarusian duo of Arzio Askirk and Mark Hyde 6-3, 0-6, [10-7].
